Ongoing Servant Opportunities
Grace Lutheran Church exists to welcome people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, encourage them to grow in discipleship, and equip them to share this ministry of grace and love by serving others.
Listed below are many of the opportunities at Grace for you to serve God and His people, for you to be welcomed, encouraged and equipped in your faith journey! for you to be used by God in ways that you can’t ask or imagine.
Property & Grounds
Building Maintenance – Help with short-term projects to improve, paint and repair the church building. E-mail Karen.
Garden Ministry – Get your hands dirty as you dig in and serve by tending the outdoor gardens at Grace. Volunteers desired on a weekly or bi-weekly basis during the spring and summer. Contact Jodi 763-576-9067.
Lawn Care – Serve by mowing the grass and caring for the church grounds. Volunteers serve 2 – 4 times throughout the growing season. E-mail Karen.
Kitchen Ministry – Help keep the kitchen in order. Volunteers clean, organize and order supplies on a monthly basis. Contact Joy 763-421-0816.
Administrative Volunteers – Daily, weekly, and monthly opportunities to help with folding bulletins, answering phones, preparing mailings, and counting offerings. E-mail Kris.
Worship Ministries
Altar Guild – Help prepare communion table and baptismal font before and after worship services. Contact Julie 763-754-0979.
Assisting Minister – Help lead the worship service by singing and praying parts of the liturgy. Contact Karen 763-753-1667.
Ushers – Welcome worshippers by handing out bulletins, directing people to communion and collecting offering. Contact Tammy 763-422-0547.
Readers – Read the Bible lessons during worship. E-mail Carroll.
Communion Servers – Serve communion bread or wine during worship.

Grand Central – Welcome people and answer questions at this information center in the church lobby before and after worship services. E-mail Jeannie.
Equipment Set up – Assist with setting up musical and sound equipment before and after worship services. E-mail Carroll.
Liturgical Arts – Help to enhance our worship experiences through artistic expressions and seasonal arrangements. E-mail Carroll.
Prayer Leaders – Serve by praying the church prayers during worship service. E-mail Carroll.
Projectionist – During worship services, help to run the computer and slides. E-mail Carroll.
Sound Technicians – Operate the sound board during worship services.

Infant/Toddler Helpers & Teachers – Help nurture and encourage young ones (up to age 3) through songs, stories and play time. Volunteers serve on a 4-6 week rotation basis. E-mail Lisa.
Infant/Toddler Ministry Team – Develop and grow the vision of this ministry, while providing a support system for volunteers. E-mail Lisa.
Children’s Ministry
SONday School Teachers – Serve God and His young ones by helping children learn about Jesus and His love on a weekly basis (September-May).
Special Assistants – Befriend a young child with special needs during the church school hour.
Mid-week Bible Club – This is a fun, energetic Christ-centered club for kids. Children work through a book to earn a club t-shirt, cap, and awards. Adult/teen volunteers love and encourage children each week as they come to learn more about God on Tuesday evenings (October- April). E-mail Lisa.
Rockin’ Angels Children’s Choir – These angels ‘rock!’ Volunteers may serve at weekly choir rehearsals, or on an as-needed basis (i.e. help with costumes, drama, snacks, choreography for musicals).
Youth
Catechism Ministry Team – Help to envision and plan the Catechism program for 6-8th graders.
Catechism Mentors – Servant leaders meet weekly with a small group of junior high kids as part of their Catechism program at Grace.
Sunday Night Youth Group – This ministry to senior high youth is formed around friendships and faith, growing and serving together. Volunteers are welcomed on a weekly and/or monthly basis. Contact Jen 763-433-0896.
Other Ministry Opportunities
For the Love of Grace Bazaar & Bake Sale – Volunteers work together to host a holiday bazaar at our church during November. Lots of areas to serve - kitchen helpers, crafters, planning group, set-up. Contact Dawn 763-754-2760.
Fellowship Event Planners – Volunteers help plan and host fellowship events throughout the year to encourage Christian community as we connect more with one another and with God. Events may include progressive dinners, Fellowship Cruises, Novemberfest and more! E-mail Jeannie.
