Welcome to Grace
Welcome to Grace Lutheran Church web site! I am glad that you have accessed our site in order to learn more about us and what our church is all about. It can be challenging to visit a church for the first time. I’m hoping that we’ve made it a bit easier to experience a bit of “grace” even before you walk through our doors.
At the heart of our congregation is the foundation of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ that cannot be earned, bought, or produced… it is given to us freely and without any strings. We celebrate this love that constantly surrounds and fills us. As you page through the various parts of this website, I hope that you will see God’s love at the heart of everything we do.
There are three words we use to keep us focused on our mission: welcome, encourage, and equip. They describe our intent and purpose: to grow in the understanding and experience of God’s love with the intent to serve others in our world. We believe that this is best accomplished through friendships and relationships we have here at church. Grace is our “faith formation and training” place and so welcoming people just as they are AND building community is very important to us. We are strengthened by God’s love so that we will serve others. You will find in these web pages opportunities for learning, friendship groups, ministry teams, fellowship events and outreach mission opportunities.
If you are searching for a church or to discover more about God’s love in your lives or if you are searching for something more, the best way I know to learn about us is to visit. We are mindful that it can be intimidating to come to a church for the first time, and so we work very hard at welcoming people. We will not ask you to stand up or wear a name tag or even ask you to give any money. But perhaps you may be greeted and welcomed by an enthusiastic member of our church.
