Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust* consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust* consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Matthew 6:19-21

GenerousLivingGenerosity is the act of giving away what’s not ours, with joyful hearts. Stewardship is about more than money. But it is about money. Your use of money and your other possessions are an important part of your discipleship as followers of Jesus. It’s probably why there are 2,350 references in the Bible related to the topic-it obviously matters to God! At Grace we believe money is the chief rival god and our failure to address that issue sacrifices the spiritual well-being of our people. While many people would like to be (more) generous, they simply can’t. It’s as important to focus on the 90% (management issue) as it is to address the 10% (giving principle) when it comes to our money and stuff. While time and talent are important, our treasure leads the way.
