A dedicated team of teachers work every week to show God’s love to our children of Grace—and open to them the many riches in God’s Word. We would like to thank our SONday School teachers and helpers, our Bible Club teachers and helpers, and for our Nursery Staff for their love and commitment to our children here at Grace this year!
SONday School
Is where God’s Word is presented in big-time cool ways that kids love! Upbeat music, drama, and activities engage the senses with hands-on learning. Our last month of SONday School is called “Balloon Fest” where we learn more about the Holy Spirit.
May 3-4: Paul teaches about the Fruit of the Spirit
May 10-11: Kids sing Living Inside Out in church! Children will start out in worship with their families, sing, listen to children’s message, then go back to their classrooms
May 17-18: Last day of SONday School. Where we will celebrate all that we have learned this year, and celebrate the friendships we have made (not only with Jesus, but with each other)!
SONday School
Jesus loves the little children and so do WE! We care about children and want to partner with parents to make an eternal difference in their lives. While adults are in worship service, we focus on "Growing Together in Christ". We'll enjoy laughing, playing, praising, and praying together, as we learn about Jesus, our Best Friend!
SONday School is offered Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings for children ages three to fifth grade. This year our theme is “Living Inside Out”. We combine jump-and-shout large group energy with small group relationship-building that challenge kids to live out their faith wherever they are. Upbeat music, drama, multi-sensory Bible lessons, hands-on learning, and a yummy snack. And best of all, God’s Word is presented in big-time cool ways that kids love!

SONday School is for ages 3 through Fifth Grade:
3 year olds, 4 year olds, and Kindergartners
Kids who are these ages are so eager to participate! That’s why we will provide a variety of activities that help this age group use their curiosity to discover God’s presence in their world.
1st and 2nd Graders
These kids are thrilled to read God’s Word for themselves! That’s why we focus on this age group’s emerging reading skills by helping these children explore Bible stories and verses that they are able to understand and recall.
3rd and 4th Graders
This age group are eager to learn in creative ways. That’s why we give them what they need - games, art, storytelling, science activities and more - to keep children involved.
5th Graders
Fifth graders are beginning to think seriously about what it means to live as Christians. That’s why we give this age group their own curriculum that provides plenty of activities that encourage them to study the Bible themselves, and express their understanding of the Bibles truths.
If all this sounds like lots of fun for kids, there are exciting ways for you to join the team: leading worship, crafts, drama, games, teaching, and more. You’ll receive clear direction and support and we’ll rally together as one big team!
As always, your support and prayers for the teachers, children and many volunteers of our SONday School program enable this program to be a success.
SONday School Registration
Complete and return a registration form with a check payable to Grace Lutheran Church for $20 per child/$40 per family. Include "SONday School" on the memo line. After registering your child(ren) you will receive a confirmation letter and a calendar of events. Many exciting activities are planned this year for your child(ren). Register today!
