Grace4Tanzania

A Special Visitor from Africa
Pastor Paulo Shanalingigwa from our sister church in Tanzania came to worship with us at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 2. A bell was given to him to bring back for one of the churches in Tanzania. Without the modern conveniences of electricity, a bell is a very effective way to call God's people to worship.
Grace4Tanzania
An outreach to Tanzania and beyond by collecting and sending bikes, clothes, and supplies overseas. We sense God's call to share our material abundance with churches in rural Tanzania and be blessed by the abundant faith of our brothers and sisters in Christ there. Grace4Tanzania is led by Grace member, Orinne Jones, and Paulo, our ministry partner in Tanzania. Currently we are gathering donations to fill a 40-foot shipping container and raising funds to cover the cost of shipping to Tanzania.

Support Us
Three ways to extend grace beyond
1. Pray: Your continued prayers for the success of this project and for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Tanzania.
2. Donate:
New Items: Lawn size garbage bags, zip ties, hygiene and medical items, toothbrushes, band aids, alcohol/peroxide, soap.
Gently Used: Summer clothing, linens/blankets, bicycles, garden & hand tools, Rubbermaid containers with lids, sewing machines, supplies and material, school supplies and backpacks.
Place items in the Grace4Tanzania donation bin located in the Narthex.
3. Shipping Cost Donations:
Our goal is to raise $13,200 to cover shipping to Africa. Sponsor square footage of the container for $5 per square foot.
Congratulations to Craig Pladson for winning the drawing for the Raleigh bike! more...

Grace4Tanzania Harvest Fest Silent Auction
What a wonderful success the Harvest Fest Silent Auction was on October 28. More than 40 donations brought in $1,500 to help cover shipping a container to Tanzania. A good time (and a yummy bratwurst meal) was had by about 250 people who attended!
